Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Agricultural Sales Coordinator to support our sales team by managing customer inquiries, processing orders, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring efficient logistics operations. This position requires a strong understanding of sales processes, logistics coordination, and excellent customer service skills. The ideal candidate will be proactive in identifying sales opportunities, assisting with pricing, and maintaining accurate delivery schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales Support:
- Answer telephone calls promptly and courteously, providing pricing, product information, and general assistance to customers.
- Prepare pricing quotes and maintain up-to-date dealer price lists.
- Assist customers in selecting the right agricultural products, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with district managers to obtain orders and support customer account needs.
- Contact out-of-market phone and internet leads, closing sales and arranging for product delivery.
- Produce order pick sheets and loading paperwork or warehouse and delivery personnel.
- Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Correspond with customers regarding delivery dates, ensuring timely communication about any changes or delays.
- Verify the accuracy of pack lists for delivered materials, ensuring all items match the daily load sheet and are signed by customers.
- Collect signed delivery documents and received payments (checks), then forward to accounting for processing.
- Regularly analyze customer accounts to identify opportunities for growth and improvements in product mix.
- Proactively identify underperforming accounts and work with the sales team to create strategies for improvement.
- Look for add-on sales opportunities to maximize revenue potential from existing customers.
- Periodically travel to meet with customers in the field and support district managers with route coverage.
- Provide exceptional customer service during field visits, ensuring customer needs are met and building strong relationships.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business, or related field preferred).
- Previous experience in agricultural sales, logistics coordination, or customer service is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and order management systems.
- Willingness to travel locally as needed to meet customers and support district managers.

- Occasional overtime may be required during peak seasons
